Multi-instrumentalists and vocalist 'Laitan Adeniji (The Heavywind) is a Jazz Artist from Nigeria. He re-interpretes African folk songs and ethnic rhythms using Jazz as his medium of expression.

ADENIJI'S album title track "IBADAN" is an excursion into the realm of Afro-Jazz and contemporary dance beat and it sees ADENIJI playing an ode to his ancestral home and place of birth. The album also includes the hit single "Word".

- In November 1999 - ADENIJI performed at the "Celebration of Jazz Concert" Palmcourt, New York USA.
- December 1999 - He was a guest at the "Sofocus Jazz Concert" Medger Evers College Theatre New York.

- The Heavywind performed at the Dubois Pan African Jazz Festival, Ghana in February 2000.
- And was also present at the Brooklyn Jazz Festival USA in April, 2000.
