Known professionally as "Nneka", she arrived in the United States November 15, 1997 and has led bands in shows at: The Atrium in Stone Mountain, Georgia The Freight Room in Decatur, Georgia The Martin Luther King Chapel at Morehouse College Emory University and in several local hotels and clubs in Atlanta. She has also toured extensively with the Golden Touch, a Motown style revue group. Some Career Highlights: 1996 - 1997 Lead vocalist with several jazz and African Highlife bands in Lagos, Nigeria. In addition to performing four nights weekly in three different Clubs, participated in several shows including television and radio Performances. Regular club dates included; Pinto’s The Green Lion K’s Atlantic The International Piano Club. She also performed regularly at The Meridien Hotel. 1995 Lead vocalist - The Difference Jazz Band, Benin City, Nigeria 1994 Lead vocalist - The Vintage Band, Benin City, Nigeria 1991 - 1993 Vocalist with various jazz and African bands in Benin City Model - Cover Girl, "Hint" Magazine; various calendars 1989 - 1990 Co-Hostess - Beat Wave Music Show, Edo State Broadcasting System, Benin City Model, "Dressence" Magazine, Nigeria Recognition Nominated Most Promising Female Vocalist, Nigeria, 1997 Her self titled first album "Nneka" was released March 2001 and is available on Pookshah Records. Nneka sings in English, Edo & Ibo languages and currently resides in Georgia, USA
