"Coming In From The Cold"    In California, USA    September 04, 2012
Our so-called leaders know well enough that the current Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as we know it, or as it is, is not working, but they don't want to change it. They are all a bunch of criminals who don't want the police system to work, so as not to get caught.

Even fools know that centralized policing doesn't work now, even if it may have worked in the past. Population has grown and we have more criminals and new ways of committing crimes. In many cases, crimes and criminals have become advanced and gone technological.

For example, cellular phone technology has proliferated, making communication easier than it used to be, thereby also making committing crimes easier too. Even thieves can plan better to commit their crimes by calling each other.

We don't have to re-invent the wheel. Advanced societies, England, America, Canada, etc. have outstanding decentralized police systems that we can copy. Sebi, we copied American system of government; so, why can't we copy their police system too?

I know we are good at subverting any system and introducing "immunity" where it doesn't belong, and turning something good and well-intentioned that's working somewhere else into bad and jaga-jaga, creating decentralized policing will still be better off than what we have now.

Keep the pressure on; someday, we will arrive at good governance, albeit it may not be during my lifetime.
