OMOTAYO, J. A. Lagos, NIGERIA March 30, 2012
Democracy is good only in theory. In practice, democracy entails deception of the masses by those in power. It can best be illustrated as a system of government that cuts off her citizen's leg(s), then generously pays medical bills and benevolently supplies crutches or wheel chair(s) to manage with (apology to Agora Financial for some modifications). Ghana once had democracy before a long military rule. Why was that democracy terminated? Why were military coups reoccuring like a relay race in Ghana then? Bad leadership! Ghana may have learnt from her past while Nigeria has not. God save Nigeria.
