It took America, many decades to come to the present day democracy, though, not so perfect considering the hitch that brought George Bush in power, Bush [Republican] versus Al gore[democrat] in 2000 presidential election.

Politics is like a sports between more than one group or more. Ability of a sports man to accept defeat hence confirmed or declared makes one a good sports man. One should know that we are still going into democracy, and ups and downs we have to crush along the way before we get to the real democracy.

When two elephants flex their muscles, the result can only be noticed by the grasses where they stand. The entire Nigerian citizens are in the case, the grasses where buhari, Atiku and co, will stand if they decide to push for the cancellation or annuling of the just concluded elcection.

They all should embibe the spirit of good politician by accepting defeat and work with him for the betterment of our dear country N I G E R I A .

3o say that this is the worst election ever in history is a gross understatement.even in death and 6 feet under, people still influence electioneering process in nigeria.

after all obj rewarded his dead wifes' relatives by been in cohourt with aneni to rig edo states election in favour of stellas' brother.and he had the guts to say he did his best. if he was the man he claim he is why didn't he try to get kano state to have his pdp candidate install there as a governor.

if nigeria is unstable, aremu okikiola obasanjo you are the cause. as you have dined with the devil God will unlish his wrath on you.

The recent poor elections in Nigeria is a national tragedy. Obasanjo had the opportunity to organize free and fair elections but he missed the opportunity due to his selfishness.

It is a tragedy that a person who was brought from the prison to govern Nigerians can conspire against the same Nigerians to deny them happiness and continually put them in boundage.

My own worry is that rigged elctions are the foundations of instability in the polity and irresponsiveness by a government that does not feel responsible to anyone.

Because Obasanjo has denied Nigerians peace, he too would not know peace till he dies. In 1993, Nigerians organized an election that was considered as free and fair, but the powers that be annulled the election.

Now in 2007, after more than a decade, Obasanjo is at the helm of an election that local and international observers have considered the worst in Nigeria's history. This is a tragedy. Even smaller countries like Ghana and Benin in West Africa have orgaized more credible elections.
