Nigeria is a sorry nation and the people there within are sorry and hopeless people. The black race is a troubled race. We did not have it this bad when we were being ruled by white people. I used to be one of those who blame white people (since that was put in my head as a kid) for almost all of our problems. The black man is its own worst enemy. I have come to the conclusion that 99.99% of our problems is caused by our leaders and their cohorts and cronies. Our leaders or those who find themselves in position of leadership are stealing us blind and the people could not do much or are unwilling to do much about it. Corruption has become so blatant.

Gone are the days when leaders steal and run away to another country to go live out their loots to escape being caught and punished for their crimes. Now they don't even run away anymore. They have become so emboldened in their thievery they stay put, enjoy it under our noses and even rub our noses in it too. Have the people become that helpless? Can you imagine Babangida who stole more than $12 billion and still lives among us to rub our faces in it? Critics have said that even if he saved every penny he earned in his life, he could not have been able to afford the 52-room mansion he built in Minna. But he goes around so freely and even partakes in politics. How foolish and helpless can we all be?

Their kids are so arrogant too because of their parents' wealth which is from my money and yours too. These rogues called leaders can only enjoy their loot in Nigeria. They can never be happy living abroad. So, they use the money recklessly to buy protection for themselves within our society. One other thing that amuses me a lot is the amount of money they steal from us. Money so large they cannot finish in ten life times. How callous can they be and why? They don't care since no one bothers them. Why would they care? They can provide water for themselves through bore holes; electricity through large generators; many wives and mistresses; fly themselves and their families abroad for medical treatments; buy many cars and even private airplanes; etc. But the people are suffering like hell and it does not bother them.

The other day, Obasanjo was complaining about how he spent hours on the road because of traffic. Hello, OBJ, what do you expect? How I only wish the armed robbers can only target them and their families and leave real people who struggled to make it in life alone. But it is not that simple. The problem is that black people are no where to be found when we talk about technology or the creation of it. Advanced people, whose brains are not better than ours, work hard to create many industries where people can work and earn money to take care of their lives. They create or improve industries like auto industry, computer industry, medical industry, aeronautics industry, plastic industry, steel industry, and so on. Our leaders only know about the "stealing industry" where all the workers and their families are blind, because they have stolen them blind. I can go on raving about our leaders and living conditions. Those of us who want change must take up the gauntlet and deal with these thieves in high places. Enough is enough and complaints alone will not do it.

Human beings are wicked creatures. No one would willingly give you anything. You must demand it or take it by force if you are refused. One thing that I know and believe in, is that the system of government (The American Democratic System) that we have and run now, is a hindrance to solving this thievery problem quickly. Our people and their state of minds will not let it happen soon enough. Nigerians in general need "behavioral modification behavior therapy that can only be provided by a "good" man on horseback given our societal decadence. By "good", I mean a selfless altruistic man devoid of greed who would surround himself with people like himself and rule with iron fist for about 20 years.

Thereafter, we can embrace a modified democratic system of government that will allow the people to fight for their rights if and when any "idiot" wants to trample on them. Every human being is a potential criminal, given a suitable condition. Fear of pain and punishment, through effective rule of law, is the only thing that makes us civil most times. We would steal, kill, beat up weaker people, maim, destroy other's properties with impunity, if there is no deterrence forced by law. This is what is happening in our country today and it will continue until we have a way to curb it.
