I still don't get it! Why are people so crazy about the dollar? Why not Euro or Pound Sterling for goodness' sake?
The writer mentioned being asked to pay hotel stay in dollars. I also heard that some landlords are asking tenants to pay their rents in dollars as well. I guess very soon, our naira will have to be renamed to Nigerian Dollar.
By the way, can someone please remind me to negotiate in dollars next time I get a job offer in Nigeria. I think I won't be missing the dollar for too long. It will still follow me to my nice 9ja.

While most people worry about their children and future, Nigerian politicians worry about their pockets. That is why dollar is such a big deal as parachut in case the Country disintegrates.
