Nigeria: Back In The Days
Author: kim | October 31, 2008

If we could rewind the hands of time, rewind it back to the past, back to the time when things were much more organised, when nigeria was a beautiful and interesting place, when everyone was his brother's keeper. In the 1970's to be more presice, Nigeria was better, we had rules and regulations that were strictly adhered to, the streets were neater, people could move around freely without fear of any kind, socially everyone was active. Presently in nigeria today, reverse is the case, the streets are littered with refuse here and there, our leaders think they are above the law, people are scared and do not trust anyone. Why can't we emulate the good things of the past? without the past, there is no future. The essence of recalling events from the past,is to avoid the mistakes that were made. it is the responsibility of our leaders to make the necessary corrections to ensure the development of nigeria, but as individuals we should be able to contribute our own quater. When nigeria becomes a better place, when we begin to be respected by other countries, when good things are said of us, we as individuals would be much more comfortable and enjoy peace of mind. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that nigeria has not improved, all am saying is that the improvement should be felt all round and by everyone. I believe we and our leaders start on time, Nigeria will take a different direction.
