Let it rip. My take on this issue was well articulated by "Coming from the Cold" but I still have a question for the Real Admiral.

Would you be happy if any of your relatives were subjected to such treatment by your undisciplined staff? What goes around comes around. Sooner or later you will have to pay for this. In a civilized nation, you should have been suspended pending the outcome of the judiciary but since you live in a country called Nigeria I guess that has not happened.

Nevertheless, if you are a true Admiral, the honorable thing to do is to resign from the Navy and save the country from further embarrassment.
"Coming In From The Cold"    California, U.S.A.    May 27, 2009
Rear Admiral Harry Arogundade and the Nigerian Navy are just wasting their time. They should just obey the court's ruling and let the case move on.

They have been using their positions unjustifiably for a long time whipping, beating, flogging, kicking, hurting, torturing, maiming, and even killing people.

Now water don pass gari, iron don meet rubber; monkey don go market but i no go return this time. You don beat the wrong person; your eye go neat.

There is an old song whose theme I really like a lot (I don't even remember or know the name of the artist) which asks, "now why you dey run; no be you say you be oga, why you dey run; come back and fight, why you dey run."

Harry Arogundade, come back and fight; no be you say you be oga; why you dey run. Face your problem like a man. Your act was unlawful and unconstitutional. You violated another person's right just because you wear that stupid uniform.

You and your Navy cohorts should obey the court's order. I don't even know why the Navy is behind this man. He should have been made to resign his commission right away.

You should be made a scapegoat for your acts so no other idiots ever does such in the future. You are a disgrace to the navy and the nation at large.

An uncorrupt judiciary can really help to turn our country around by passing down the right judgment on criminals. I think the judiciary is the first line of hope for any corrupt country to turn itself around.

The heat is on. We must keep up the pressure for change, and with God's help, we shall overcome.

God bless the hardworking people of Nigeria.
