.........that exactly is what Ribadu would like every Nigeria to do.....bury their head in the sand and his (Ribadu) world to continue to revolve around OBJ and his cronies.
You seem to be the most ignorant one in this forum, because you forgot that Ribadu remains a PDP, perhaps he knows how to wave the magic wand more than all you his errand boys. Grow up, Idris.

Nigerians are the most ignorant people in the world. They seem to be carried away by class and position, and any little grandios name, they give reverence to.
Ted Global 2009 is just a forum for discussion, like ngex.com, like any 5th grade student in westminster or kingston university, involved in a work group, working on a particular project or investigation.
Ted global is not even in the class and status of Rotary club membership. For people to gloat and exaggerate this news is pure ignorance. Of course, Ribadu can be invited as a Ted global fellow in 2009 because he stole our money (Abacha´s recovered loots) and moved to Oxford where is presently doing his post graduate programme.
If he pays his tuition and is as controversial as he is, he is qualified as a member of that organisation, sponsored by firms with names like the "Don Colione" and the "Cosa nostra" family. Birds of the same feather flock together. Everywhere in the world, there exists anti-system groups.
Now, it is left for us to know where Ribadu belongs. ...because his schizophrenic behaviour impedes many Nigerians to know whether he is a devil or an angel.

The stone that the builder rejected, has become the chief connerstone! says the scriptures.
The story of Ribadu will one day be like that of Joseph and his brother in Israel.
We know those who are deluded and sponsored on this blog forum! By their fruit you shall no them.
Nigeria does not belong to any group of politicians! it belongs to God, and God will deliver Nigeria very soon, like He deliver the Children of Israel from pharaoh. amen

This is for the benefit of our intelligent readers. Here is a little information about TED contrary to the claim of a “not-so-ignorant”, egotistic, self-conceited respondent in this forum.
I know we are not as ignorant as we’ve been declared to be.
At least, I know that Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Chike Obi, Awojobi, Awolowo, and many other notable Nigerians, living or dead, were or are not ignorant.
To state that Nigerians are the most ignorant people is contemptuous and arrogant and hard for me to swallow. But I am appeased with the fact that the statement is all-inclusive as it includes the person who made the statement too, if he or she is a Nigerian.
In a forum like this, an intelligent person should try to limit their concerns or response to the topic at hand. You can agree or disagree with the issue at hand; fine, it’s your right. Remarks made ‘ad hominem’ where someone attacks the character, motives, etc of another person, rather than debate the issues on a logical ground, is imbecilic and unwelcome. Let’s be more cordial and respectful while we agree to disagree.
We know no one man is an island. We know not everyone would like a particular person; even Jesus was not liked by everyone in his time. So, some people can express hate for someone that others may like, love, respect and admire.
But if you call people who are opposite to you on an issue ignorant, guess what – they can call you the same too. But sometimes, silence is the best answer for a fool.
Here is information on the group, TED - from Wikipedia:
[TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an annual conference that defines its mission as "ideas worth spreading". The lectures, also called TED Talks, cover a broad set of topics including science, arts and design, politics, education, culture, business, global issues, technology and development, and entertainment. Speakers have included such people as former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Nobel laureates James D. Watson, Murray Gell-Mann, and Al Gore, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, and Billy Graham.[1]
The TED staff is headquartered in New York City and Vancouver. The conference has been held in Monterey, California, since its founding, but as of 2009 is being held in Long Beach, California due to an increased number of attendees. The TED conference also has a companion conference, TEDGlobal, held in varying locations. This year, TEDGlobal 2009, "The Substance of Things Not Seen," will be held in Oxford, UK on July 21-24, 2009. The next event is TEDIndia which takes place in Mysore, India on 4 - 7, November, 2009.
"What the World Needs Now, TED2010," will be held in Long Beach, California on February 9-13, 2010.
More than 400 TED talks are provided for free viewing online. As of April 2009, talks had been viewed over 100 million times by more than 15 million people.]
We know the best way to understand the human world is through discussions and sharing of ideas. Where would the world be today without the Internet.
The developed worlds made sharing of information a very important part of their development. No one person, no matter how intelligent, can think it all.
Other people can piggyback on another person's initial idea and come up with a better use of the original idea.
For example, it was someone that came up with the telephone technology but it was someone else that came up with the modem to transmit information through the telephone line using a computer.
Sharing of information is paramount to development. You can't share information without discussion.
Many African native doctors, herbalists, etc, have died with the knowledge they had as they did not share what they knew with others, not even with their own offsprings. Some tried to share information when they realized they were about to die but it was usually too late. There have been stories like that in our folklores.
We don't have a system that promotes and cherishes sharing of information. Sometimes people are also reluctant to share information because they fear not being rewarded accordingly.
So, we don't care if some of you out there don't like Ribadu. Those of us who want change in our country love him dearly because we believe in him.
He is one of a few, in their imperfection, who have shown they are willing to help our country.
There are a few Ribadus in Nigeria, right now. Another person who is showing promise of being serious is Governor Fashola of Lagos State. And I am sure there are a few more. Those are the people Nigeria needs to spun us into action and turn the table around.
RIBADU FOR PRESIDENT.
FASHOLA FOR PRESIDENT.

Thank you Fela and Idris for calling me any other thing but good. I am sure that the readers in this forum have been presented the opportunity to find out the ignorant ones.
If it is meritorious to become a fellow of Ted group, I wonder how meritorious it is to be a fugitive to the law of the land. Now that Ribadu has been compensated, meritoriously for his great contribution to democracy in Nigeria, I hope he will find time to return to Nigeria and appear before the ICPC (Independent Corrupt Practices Commission) that has indicted him for acquisition of properties while in office, failure to declare his assets, embezzlement of public funds, stealing of recovered loots from past administration and other corrupt practices.
Ribadu should be able to face those charges now that he has a prominent group as a fellow. I am following the next conference of Ted Group schedule in July, 52 days to go from date. I am currious about Ribadu´s presentation. What kind of speech will he present? What will he tell the world? That he used his office to intimidate political opposition to the government of Nigeria?
That he tried to, from his office, install a life president in Nigeria? That he forgged evidence and sent it to the crown county court in order to get his pound of flesh from his self declared enemy? That the rejection of those forgged evidence by the British court and subsequent acquiting of the accused Ibori was a british government corrupt Judges error?
That he intimidated Judges like Binta Nyako just to get favorable sentences and fight a so called good fight against corruption?
That he dragged and arrested suspects from the house of assembly building, federal high court building without any court order while fighting his personal corruption? That he clear the then President from any wrong doing and destroyed a lot of evidence against him before leaving the office?
That the indictment of expresident Obasanjo is a mistake of the entire judicial system in Nigeria and a witchhunt by the administration? That his elevation from a DCP (deputy commissioner of police) to the rank of AIG (assitant inspector general of police) without previously holding the post of CP (commissioner of police) was not a pay off rather meritorious? Fellows, I do not engage in hulla bully´s, I do not join the chorus, I do not laud unnecesarily.
Ribadu is the most corrupt Nigerian and will soon be proved in the court of law.

Do Not Forget I Told You So.
MALAM NUHU RIBADU FOR PRESIDENT.
Nigeria may not appreciate its own, the other people in the world do.
If we can prevent elections from being rigged in Nigeria, I have no doubt that, someday, Malam Nuhu Ribadu will become Nigeria's President to help us redirect our nation to a good path.
Before anyone starts to assume anything, please note that I don't know or have I ever met Malam Ribadu; and I am not from his state or town; far from there.
I just believe in him. And I don't care what state or region anybody comes from, but as long as the person is ready to help our country, I'll support the person.
That's my philosophy in life. We should appoint or elect the right person(s) do the job, irrespective of where they come from.
Nigeria needs serious and ardent help. But remember many are called, but few are chosen. It would take a few special persons to get Nigeria out of the hole our greedy leaders have dug for us.
Yar'Adua is "dolce far niente" We need someone who can take the bull by the horn to lead and turn Nigeria around. We have been down for too long.
Nigeria needs well-meaning, hard-working, selfless people who are willing to give rather than take; who are ready to do without asking for anything in return.
Can anyone imagine a Nigeria where public servants do their paid jobs right and not ask for money or bribes to do the job they are paid to do; where police do the right things and don't extort money or take bribes from people they are to protect; where appointed or elected officials do not take bribes or steal from the coffers?
What a great Nigeria that will be. We know no place is perfect but working towards perfection should still be the goal of each and everyone of us.
