A one time yoruba juju musician popularly called Chief Ebenezer Obey once sang "Kogun kogun kogun a kogun si bi kan o; kogun kogun kogun o ti kogun si bi kan" meaning all the games, tricks, etc will definitely come to an end. The end result of hyper-sensationalism and posture of hyper-patriotism displayed by Mrs Akunyili has finally shown that she was merely dramatising whilst in high public offices with the PDP. I still recall sending her a few difficult questions privately that remained unanswered.
While at NAFDAC, I asked of what made treated sachet water to expire after 60 days. Whilst talking about Rebranding Nigeria in a tv show, I sent an email with four questions. I received an acknowledgement with a promise that answers would be provided in due course. I asked among others why her rebranding did not cement the relationship between the late Mr Yar'Adua and his vice, Mr Jonathan. I further asked her to name a serving minister anywhere in the world who spent over N200 million on his or her child's wedding whilst in public office even if receiving about N1 million per month. There is no time to exhaust the questions. The spate of resignation is alarming. Each with unfinished agenda. Can one write that all is well with the government? Time will tell. We are watching. God bless Nigeria.
