People often say "The end justifies the means". But in this instance, I like to reverse it to "The means justify the end". Government is appointing officers into three key positions: Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Secretary (3 delegates). Which other position is left? None. Government is also appointing 37 delegates from all the 36 States and FCT. In addition, government is appointing 20 other delegates. Total number of delegates to be appointed by government = 60. Total number of delegates expected = 492. Percentage of government nominees = 12.2% (i.e. 60 x 100% / 492 = 12.2%).

In Statistics, we learnt that any figure more than 5% is statistically significant. Ours is more than double 5%. Who says Mr. Jonathan\'s views cannot be imposed or superimposed on the assembly?

Who is government here? Not National Assembly but one man, Mr. Jonathan. Who are the super-delegates in the event of 50-50 voting? The 60 government nominees. If you cannot guess the outcome of the Conference, you are on your own. I can state categorically that this Conference will not produce any outcome better than any one held in the past due to same meddling by government. Humm! God save Nigeria
