This is the most horrible election time table I have ever seen. Why? The last date for withdrawal / replacement of presidential candidates is December 30, 2014 while presidential election is on February 14, 2014. Total number of available days is 45 days.

If we remove new year day as a public holiday, we have 44 days. Even in a presidential candidate takes helicopter to campaign, he probably cannot cover all the 36 States of the federation as well as Abuja. In both 1979 and 1983, our late Obafemi Awolowo had up to three months to move across all 19 States. In the US, Mr. McCain won his nomination more than six months before election. Even Mr. Obama campaigned for over a year in the US before the election (the period used in primaries between him and Mrs. Hillary Clinton included). The congested time table is a pointer that the election result has already been determined by government and INEC.

Very unfortunate that Nigeria is falling every day. Mediocrities and selfish individuals are in control of operations.
God save Nigeria.
