Nollywood star, Pete Edochie, kidnapped

Pete Edochie, a Nollywood star has been kidnapped at Afor-Nkpor in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State on Sunday. About three people are said to have been shot while trying to prevent the kidnapping.

Pete Edochie is usually known as "Ebubedike" for his role in the television adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart

He is said to have been returning from Asaba, Delta State and was going through Afor-Nkpor along the Old Enugu/Onitsha road when his vehicle was blocked and the kidnappers took him away.

The Anambra State Commisioner of Police confirmed the incident and said efforts were being made to find the kidnappers and rescue him.
