Ribadu visits Gani Fawehinmi's family in Nigeria to pay his last respects
| September 11, 2009
Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the ex-chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is reported to have visited the family of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN), in Ikeja to pay his last respects.

Ribadu is said to have been overwhelmed with emotion and could not hold back tears while discussing with the members of the family and wrote in the condolence register “I have lost a father, a friend and mentor. But I’m greatful to God for the chance to have a very inspiring relationship with chief. He helped to shape my life. He made me believe in the truth and justice and have the courage to stand by these ideals. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace. God will be kind to Gani, because he was a kind and good man.”

He then insisted on seeing Gani’s remains in order to pay his last respects and was taken to the Ikeja mortuary and he then left for Abuja.

I love Ribadu. But I would like him to help us better by sending out tapes and documents revealing the messy and corrupt practices of these criminals, because he has vital copies of these documents in his possession. this would help put the current leadership of EFCC on their toes and tread with caution.

He should ensure that these vital documents and tapes are sent to international media houses like CNN, BBC and other reputable media houses.

God bless you Nuhu Ribadu, the mantle of leadership in fight for the down trodden now has been passed on to you. we trust your zeal, forthrightness, determination, intestinal fortitude to deal with Andooakaa and the rest of the thieves. God bless you again.
