The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communication, Senator Sylvester Anyanwu, has said that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations will soon be conducted online.
Speaking at the commissioning of a Community Communication Centre at the Government Commercial College, Zaria, Kaduna State by the Universal Service Providers fund (USPF), Senator Anyanwu said Nigeria will be doomed if the younger generation is not groomed to face the technology-driven challenges of the 21st century and conducting examinations online would check incidents of students paying teachers for scores or others writing exams for candidates.
The USPF Secretary said the School Access Project was established to provide internet access to secondary schools across Nigeria and about 10 facilities had been established by the fund in each state.
