Super Falconets of Nigeria qualify for quarter-final of Women's World Cup after 1-1 draw with Mexico
| July 22, 2010
The Super Falconets of Nigeria have qualified for the quarter final of the U-20 2010 Women's World Cup in Germany after pa 1-1 draw with Mexico in their last group match. Mexico and Nigeria qualify to the quarter finals from Group C with five points each but Mexico topped the group with a higher goals difference.

Ebere Orji opened the scoring for the Falconets in the 16th minute off a corner kick. The Falconets continued to pressure the Mexicans and could have scored more goals but poor finishing by the attackers and good defending by the Mexicans kept the game close.

In the second half the Mexicans put the pressure on the Falconets and equalised from close range in the 77th minute.
