Nigeria's State Security Services arrests alleged Boko Haram spokesperson
| February 02, 2012
An alledged spokesman for Boko Haram, the Islamic sect that has terrorised Nigeria lately with deadly bombings and gun attacks, has been arrested by the State Security Services (SSS). The alleged spokesman, known as 'Abu Qaqa', was arrested in Kaduna.

After recent bomb and gun attacks, a man that calls himself "Abu Qaqa" has been appearing and claiming that Boko Haram has been responsible for the attacks.

Abu Qa Qa is reported to have been tracked down through his phone even though he changed his location and phone number frequently. After the arrest, a source with the SSS told the AP that, "We are still talking to him. Since 'Abu Qaqa' is the name for the Boko Haram spokesman, we want to be sure of who we have with us. But we have been on his trail for months now. He's been changing locations and contacts."
