I rejoice with the Buharis. One of the teachings of the great teacher and religious leader of Buddhism, Buddha, was that any one who has compassion will benefit eleven things while on earth. One of the benefits is that even when people attempt to poison your food, you will survive it.

Related to Mr. Buhari, his good work has been his saviour in the battle field, in the office against military coups, on retirement and in politics against yesterday's bomb blast.
The giver of life is Allah. The One who sustains life is Allah. The One who takes life is Allah. It is not sufficient for any of us to think that we are clever. And Mr. Buhari must see this incident in that light. It was not his cleverness or military knowledge that saved him yesterday. Rather it was his compassion, and his trust in Almighty Allah.
Notwithstanding the horrible event yesterday, he must take solace in the belief that "Nature is the only escort through life" and that "Whatever happens to any man, happens to him for his own good". I encourage him to continue with his good work and allow nature to be his guide and guardian.
God save Nigeria.
