Prayer For Me Friends
By: Babawilly
- For once in my life
I seek not my own
But pray for friends and relatives
My tribesmen and enemies
- A rich man among paupers
Is but a poor man with money
So why pray for great fortune
When so so broke'age surrounds me
- My prayer oh Lord
Is for my friends' hands to ache
As dem dey count dia money
From sunrise jam sunset
- Dem taya and sleep
Den wake up and continue
But before dem count finish
Dia wealth come increase
- Bless mai relatives with baffs
To excess to borku
So dat when I land town
There'll be no 'wetin you bring?'
- Bless the people for village
So dat come each month end
Dem go 'Western union'ize me'
With betta Kudi from Naija
- Make mai friends belleful
So dat each time dem visit
And I say 'You meet me well'
Dem go say 'Thanks but just had lunch'
- Give my friends real big houses
So dat when meeting reach
Na dia house we go do am
Come wak dia food join
- Bless mai people with C.Ds
DVDs and nice videos
So my collection may rest
While I go borrow from people
- Oh Lord, broke'age no good
And e dey too contagious
But I pray make my friends
Infect me with virulent wealth
- How I go yarn ski trips?
With a cousin wey im shoe chop
Lord! Bless dem all well well
Make man fit talk freely.
- Mark this humble prayer my Lord
Like say na WAEC
For if I pass with colours flying
Betta dey Okro soup
- But if na fail
I accept
Wetin man pickin fit do?
I go begin pray for myself
Make I fit help mai friends
