I 've learned over the years that we can't choose the situations life delivers to us and that no matter how hard we try to prevent them, certain things just have to happen.

Although we can't choose the situations we're in, we most definetly can choose our attitude towards them.

Image:Making Choices

We've heard that "life isn't so much about what happens to us but how we react to it". And that's why the same thing can happen to two people but very different results are gotten at the end.

You know, like when you've been dumped by your lover (boyfriend or girlfriend), you can either wallow in self pity, decide that all members of the opposite sex are evil and conclude that you'll never have anything to do with them EVER again.

This choice of action may be temporarilly satisfying but it likely will not help you learn anything from your experience.

It might be a lot better to sit back, reflect on what went wrong in the relationship, understand the reason(s) why, learn the lessons and move on.

Each reaction choice leads to different results and those results in turn affect our lives.

In effect, our attitude to our situation in life is what determines our position in life and not the situation itself.

A word to the wise. Be careful with your attitude towards life and your reactions to each situation. Choose carefully!.
