Aren't you all tired of the same song ?
- Tired of the socio-economic and political malaise that strangles our nation.
- Tired of the endless demagoguery among the "progressives" and between them and other groups.
- Tired of the endless populist chants with no follow up.
- Tired of the boring internet chats and write ups like this one.
- Tired of of seeing a generation waste away outside and within our shores with hopes dashed and dreams hijacked.
- Tired of building someone else's nation into a giant(economically and politically) and yet sees in the rear-view mirror, your own motherland disappearing into a quicksand of nothingness.
Aren't you all just simply tired ?
Well! This shouldn't surprise you, I am tired. And I am going to do something about it. And you ain't see nothing yet!
The question is, is there anybody out there ready to join me ?. We shall see !
I am calling on all of those who are ready to make a difference in Nigeria to join forces together now and let us walk the walk. As it has been said over and over ago by many of you and yours truely, how long are we going to stand by and let the socio-political and economic decay
continue in Nigeria.
Are we still waiting for that savior to come riding down from yonder, to rescue us ? For your information, let me burst your balloons, we are the one expected to come from yonder, to rescue our nation. If you don't feel that sense of purpose by now, there is surely something amiss. We must move beyond rhetorics and illusory suppositions. It is time to act. Now is the time to get involved.
My fellow compatriots, to change things in Nigeria, we must first get involved. The question now, is are you ready ?
Let me remind you all that one of the main problems we have in Nigeria, is our continue search for a reason for being a Nigerian. Given the ethnic and religious divide, leaders should be able to provide a common ground, a raison d'etre, that should nurture the Nigerianess in all of
us.
Instead, they use our differences as a tool to distract us from taking actions against their reign of corruption and maladministration.
We have not been able to nurture what makes us who we are neither have we given children in schools, a reason to appreciate their rich heritage(as if there is none to appreciate)The lack of authenticity and the ineptitude of our leadership to chart a course for a Nigeria, is one of the fundamental problems facing this nation.
Should we stand by and let them continue to make our stay abroad so permanent, that even our
children and grandchildren, may not even know, talk less of appreciate their roots.
Painful and very painful. There is no chicken, no beautiful life style, no luxury, that can replace the sweet ruggedness of the beautiful African life style. A life style that could and should be made to respond, within its own milieu, to the changes of our time.
For those who want to join this effort, I am calling on you to do so and let us be counted.
There are those among us, who question motives and reach conclusions without lifting a finger to make a difference, I am saying right now, if you have got nothing positive to offer, please remain silent until you are capable of doing so.
For those of you thinking about seeking political office in this election or the next election, join us now. This is not an attempt to form a political party. Neither is this an attempt to support one. This is simply an attempt to bring progressively intent Nigerians together, to seek a change for the better in our motherland.
The core of our togetherness shall be:
- to work to promote the interest of all Nigerians for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Every single step taken shall be guided by this principle and anyone who strays from this principle in whatever manner, shall feel our wrath.
My brothers and sisters, these are my suggestions:
What you are invited to do:
- Join us or support our effort by
- contributing your expertise in all needed areas
- contribute your widows mite toward planning and electioneering (a pledge at least $1 will suffice )
- organize or host a meeting of the group or its fund raiser in your neck of the wood.
- helping to pass the words on to other Nigerians.
- Join and seek political office and network with others.
Finally, let me emphasize the fact that, this is an attempt to start doing something immediately about the political situation in Nigeria.
This is a political response to our problems, others may have economic solutions as well. We are ready to work with those who shares similar goals and objectives. And for the rest, we will provide a regular report, so that you can tag along for the ride.
A press release will be going out in the next 24 hours announcing this project, the question is, are you ready to be part of this movement for change in Nigeria.
To those of you who have indicated your interest, please let us take the bull by the horn. The game has started.
Arise O Compatriots!
God bless Nigeria, God bless you all
