Hey,
Isn't it stunning to learn that in this new millennium there is a country that says it is ok to stone to death a woman for lust of the flesh out side of marriage?
In the bible it says that the people used to stone woman to death for adultery but that was 2000 years ago.
In some place in that book it talks about Jesus came upon a woman that was about to be stoned to death for sex out of wedlock. He said let the first one without sin cast the first stone. The woman was left to live out her life until God saw fit to take her from her body.
In this new millennium it is not acceptable to play God by taking the life from a woman for sex out of wedlock. FREEDOM is the key word for this new millennium! Marriage is sacred and adultery is not acceptable behavior in any religion; but other religions do not stone to death woman for sex out of wedlock just because that is what the people of their religion did hundreds and/or thousands of years ago.
Cutting peoples heads off, stoning citizens to death, and cuttings off the limbs of citizens is not acceptable behavior in the new millennium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God is Great but we are not God and it is up to God to punish his children for committing adultery and such behavior. Humans can punish each-other for murder, stealing, wife beating, neglecting offspring, abusing each-other physically if it be rape or beating up each-other, and other unacceptable social behaviors. It is not up to us to stone people to death for not resisting the biological impulse to have sex out of marriage because that is crossing the line and playing God!
The people that think it is ok to stone a woman to death for a moral offence are more likely inspired by the spectator aspect of the event than wrapped up in minding other peoples business.
Religion is a great way for people to learn morals. People of past centuries and millenniums were such savages that it took religion to scare people with a punishing God in order to improve their behavior. Fear of a punishing God is what it took to tame the savages of the past.
Now that we are in a new millennium we can dwell on a loving God. The Universal Divine Spiritual Higher Power does not want his children to stone his females to death for lust of the flesh. No human being is capable of being the Universal Divine Spiritual Higher Power, so we CANNOT pretend that we are by stoning females to death for moral offences!
