Saying Thank You

Image:Thank You! It's amazing how great the impact of the phrase - thank you can be. It doesn't just affect the person being told but also the person saying it.

Imagine a little child who is doing something for her mother, hoping to please her. He gives the mother what he has done and the mother takes it and walks away. Even if she likes it, the child would walk off looking sad and might even end up being moody for the rest of the day.

But the scenario will be much different if the mother looks at the work, smiles at the child and says thank you. The child would beam with smiles and be so glad that through out the day he'll be energetic and happy. What a difference!

The same applies to us adults.

A little gratitude and acknowledgement for whatever we've done gives us the encouragement and motivation we need to work harder whether at home or at work.

Look at companies that give awards for best staff or most diligent staff. You'll find that other staff try to work harder to acheive the recognition. And so at the end the company gains for the gratitude it has shown.

All these are just physical examples as to the benefit of gratitude.

Spiritually, we're blessed for every gratitude to our fellow man. The fact is that if we can't be grateful to man that we see then how can we be grateful to God. It's only if we're grateful to God that we can receive more blessings.

Simple isn't it? A little gratitude goes a long way in helping bless our lives!
