LAGOS
October 14, 2001

It's so easy to let ourselves go. To just act without thinking of the consequences. To just live and not be answerable to anyone at all for our actions.

I mean, Tree of Tranquility thinking about it from one perspective it would seem this world would be extremely lovely to live in, there wouldn't be any worries at all because if you need something, you just take it!

But that is from just one perspective. There are other perspectives to view and believe me, some are not so pleasant.

For instance if a person annoyed you, you could just kill him. To you, you've gotten rid of an irritant. But to his family and to those who love him, you've gotten rid of their heart and their love.

And of course yes, they could come at you and get rid of you too but what would happen to your family? And then it would go on and on like that and more innocent people would get hurt. But then, in this perspective we are discussing, it's allowed since we have no one to answer to.

The world would be full of hate and dirt and bountiful injustice (even now that we have people to answer to there is still a lot of injustice). So imagine how it would be when we are totally free, free of all responsibility, I doubt it would be as lovely as we think it would be.

You know evil has a way of gaining foothold on earth even now with all it's laws, how much more then do we want? Total freedom?? It would be devastating for all.

So as much as we might think we love this thing called freedom, Freedom of or for whatever you may aspire, it can be destructive, it might just destroy all of us.

So as tedious as it may seems, it is surely for our own good if we bear responsibilty for all our actions.

Just something to think about in these days and times.
