Religion is quite a funny thing.
Every one wants to be identified with one religion or another and carry it on their heads as though following a religion means getting into heaven (for those who believe in the existence of heaven).
In reality, and as we all know (or should know) there is no religion in heaven. Heaven isn't identified with any religion at all, not even Christianity. And then I wonder, shouldn't that force us to think? If there's no religion in heaven then getting into heaven isn't based on any religion at all, so why all the fuss about religion?
Religion, I believe, is there to guide us, help us find the way up, help us mould our characters in the right form,and help us know and recognize God easier.
But now it seems that we have forgotten the essence of religion and have started worshipping our religion. We've made it our god and even disobey God because of it!
All religious wars are strictly because of religion never or hardly ever because of God!!! Although man likes to hide under the guise of religion when doing such.
But really if we think about it, we'll realise that it has absolutely nothing to do with God and although the zealots quote their scriptures to backup their act, upon further scrutiny, we find that in reality, they are twisting it and bending words to suit their objectives.
Well.....we can't judge but we do know that the Lord is steadfast in his ways and He has set His Laws; and I believe we should reflect on that fact before we act because we shall all bear full responsibilty for our actions!
