I am writing to you from Toronto Canada. I am born and raised in Canada and are a proud African-Canadian woman.
Why did your government adopt the laws of Sharia?
A Sharia court sentenced 35-year-old divorcee Safiyatu Husaini to be stoned to death for adultery. Are you not aware that many people are appalled that your government would adopt such a religion? Why are you contributing to the struggle of our people?
Our people, as you probably know, were enslaved for over 400 years. During the slave trade, many people died, Africans and non-Africans alike, to give Africans the democratic and just freedom that we are entitled. Now your government has decide to politically enslaved our people, resulting in inhumane and unfair treatment. Your government will perish under such law. Islamic laws are not a part of African tradition.
You have been brainwashed by the dictatorship of the Islamic North.
The election in 2003 in Nigeria will have an international impact. Many petitions, phone calls and e-mails are being sent to various government bodies, organizations and individuals throughout North American and Nigeria.
We are calling for the immediate attention of all international democratic businesses, organizations and individuals.
Our objectives....To bring all democratic individuals together in hopes to elect a fair and just government for the above states in Nigeria.
I condemn what you are doing to Safiyatu Husaini. We are starting a web site that will target big businesses in countries such as Nigeria. Countries that prey on women and poor people alike.
International Big Businesses will be forced to put severe pressure on terrorists and unjust governments like you or pull out. They will also be protected by my organization that acts like a union on their behalf.
I swear by my Christ that every international big business that is flourishing in Nigeria will be on that list. I will not sit back and let my people die at your hand. If you don't want to change the laws in your state, then everyone might as well suffer, including your government.

Please, do not execute Safiyatu Husaini. Please abolish the laws of Islam!
