Why should we be living in Poverty.
When our lands are filled with plenty?
Why wouldn't we be labelled the "Dark Continent"
When we fill our countries with ethnic hatred?

Why do we still enslave ourselves?

Why can't we live together in peace
Instead of tearing ourselves' to pieces?
Why are we our brothers' killers?
Instead of being our brothers' keepers?

Why do we allow our children to die?
Why, dear Africa, why?
