With stars tossed lazily across the heavens
Creating the tiny flickering lights that show the way
We walk hand in hand
Along the path we’ve chosen
Along the path that you and I created
No words
No banter
Just simple ~ uncomplicated silence
And, in that quiet realm
We can almost hear
Can almost feel
Each other’s hearts racing
And I know
That the sweet warmth of your Friendship
Your Trust
Your Love ~
Will soothe my soul
And slow my pace
So that I may stay in step with you.
