Far far in the north,
Of the quiet part of the world.
Two lovers yearned to flee,
For a cruise in the open sea.
Deep deep in the sea,
Their passion had been lit.
Deep deep in the night.
Their love no one denies.
The strong wind slowed them down,
The whirlpool spun them round,
The wild storm made them pale,
But all to no avail.
Early in the beautiful morning,
The blue clouds in the rear.
And what made it so queer,
Not a merry song is heard,
From the singing morning birds.
"Where are we my dear?"
Said the young fair lass in fear.
" For I see nothing in sight,
Though I try with all my might"
" Fear not my peeress "
Said he with hope and fears,
For paddles.. they had none,
And hope is fast lost!
"Father will be bothered,
Mother shall eat not,
For I their only daughter,
Is lost in the deep blue waters."
"Alas! We are verily lost"
The young fellow thought in awe
His father.. he know not,
His mother ..old and withered.
"What shall become of her?"
That"s a cowardly thing to say.
As time went by and by,
The young fair lass lamented..,
"We should have stayed a-bay
Now we shall die in shame."
"Ay not!" the lad cried,
With a shrill that abed with sorrow.
"tis our chance to prove out love,
To meet with perils and obstacles,
So when the night is due,
We"ll sleep with lack of food.
By dawn we shall be free,
For land,, I think I see."
The two lovers laid arm in arm,
The skies they made their roof.
Wrapped in cloaks of Lincoln green,
They talked of what they liked.
Deep deep in the night,
Their passion had been lit ..again.
Their love no one denies,
This time ..a peaceful breeze.
When their passion subsided,
Their eyes they shut at last.
For the last time though they knew not,
Away into deep deep slumber.
It happened a long time beyond,
True love.. they say its proves,
Yet no one knows for sure,
T‘was far far in the north.
