    Speechless
    Submitted By: Fisayo Fadelu

Guess who turns 43 in October. I’ll tell you- but just wait
    She's come a long way
Milked the nations with her oil
    Adorned them with her pearls
She has fueled their vehicles and powered their motors
She says to them “let there be light!” and the “Kanji” obeys
Yeah, their streets are lit because her dams pump ceaselessly

    Did I say pump?
    That reminds me of …
    My heartbeat, and then drumbeat
Her rhythms move the waists of their wives, maids and mistresses
Their sons and husbands shake to the tunes of her daughters
I name no names, but we all know them

    Did I say know?
    How can I forget “fame”
Her sons and daughters dine at the banquets of the kings of the earth
Their dazzling light and brilliant glory up on high towers
    She knows they are hers
How? Because she named them what she alone can pronounce

And yes I did say “know”
    Knowledge as never seen before
Craft is at the hands of her sons
    Brilliance heralds their arrival
Their stay is marked by excellence
    And their legacy remains unbeatable

    Well then, who is she?
    Is she rich?
    Where is her domicile
    Her streets must be golden
My God! She has it all!
    She must be powerful
    Where do her children school?
    They must be lucky

    Alright, so many questions,
    But I must apologize,
    I have no answers,
    There I go - “Speechless”

    Well who is she
    I guess we all know…
