    On Weeping

Submitted By: John "The Beloved" Ajewole

    Refrain your eyes from weeping
And your eyes from shedding tears
Take heart, drive away every fear
Trust in Jesus and He'll make your day.

Many things often make me cry, perhaps you too
When 'what you don't expect' happens - oh no,
When it lands - the fatal deathblow.
Down comes those tears, flowing unceasingly.

Many things that makes you ask why
Why should 'this' ever happen to me?
And then you begin to count the A, B and C,
As the stream continues to flow.

When Lazarus died, there was weeping,
Martha and Mary, oh what a sad story
Jesus came but He was not in a hurry.
To God He prayed and brought Lazarus alive again.

A woman, on her way to bury her dead son,
Met Jesus and He told her not to weep.
Of all her sorrows, He made a clean sweep,
Brought her son to life and put a smile on her face.

The Holy book, replete with examples for you and I,
To strengthen our faith, make us firm
So that we won't be cheated by the cankerworm.
Take a moment and find out what the Holy Book says.

Tears make your eyes blind, don't you know
Be careful that you do not fall into despair.
Else you might get to the point of 'no repair'.
There is one way I know, it's the "Jesus' way.

There is always a solution at the cross
Where once hanged the son of God, on Calvary
Where He said 'it is finished' - no need to worry.
Everything has been taken care of.

There is joy - real plenty at Calvary's tree
Take a moment and tell Him to make your day,
To fill you with joy - unspeakable in every way
He can do it for you. He did it for me before.
