    The Past

Submitted By: John "The Beloved" Ajewole

Do not dwell on the past
because its forever gone, it doesn't last,
    yesterday is a destroyed mast
of a ship thats sinking fast.
Whether it was a failure or success,
Its no use, its not an access
    Into whatever tomorrow holds.
Why not just wait and let it unfold?
Take your life a day at a time,
Life is more precious than a dime
that is soon lost in a hurry and rush
    Through this world's thick bush.

Why should I worry about tomorrow?
It'll only bring a headache and then sorrow
Why should I be afraid of what it'll bring?
It would only make my brain ring.
Yes, He, God is in all my tomorrows,
Therefore I will no more err.
I'll leave alone all the furrows,
I will in Him trust and believe,
And He will all my burdens relieve.
