    Christmas Gift

Submitted By: John "The Beloved" Ajewole

Yes, Christmas is the time to give,
in remembrance of Christ himself who gave
His life on Calvary, to cleanse man from sin,
so that we might be acceptable into the heavenly haven.

    Don't give alms at Christmas
if you think it makes you God's child.
    It doesn't show any repentance.
It doesn't mean your heart is mild.

The question is "have you given your life to him?"
Have you said "take my life and let it be?"
Have you cried "Jesus, I surrender all
My life, wholly consecrated all and all to thee?"

Not just the gift, but first, you the giver
is what He wants, for He gave himself for you and me.
His love made Him to do what He did,
so that we might, from sin's grasp be free.

Sure, the host of heaven will rejoice,
the angels will sing and will be joyfull and glad,
their trumpets they'll blow in praise ,
that another soul to the kingdom is added.

Oh Yes! "I gave my life to Him" you say
Good, but the Job is not yet done fully as is His will:
Have you brought your neighbor to him?
and say Lord, your mission I do fulfill?
