Job

Submitted By: Kingsley Momoh

Story I was told
About a man called Job.
Loving as can be,
He loved him, God could see.
An edge built around him,
invincible like a beam.
Oh, Job did not know,
He allowed something to show.

God boasted of him,
"Satan have you seen him?"
"And edge you built around him,
Permit it an let me be"

Soon Job got badly hit,
Satan did it.
And Job thought it was God,
and retired to fate He was,
"He has given, He has taken"
He lost all,
His Children, wealth, properties
big and small.

Fear he has been nursing,
Leaked the edge God made around him
Making him feel forsaken.

Thank God for His mercies,
He got all
and more
that has been taken.
His story is for us to learn a lesson
that our God is of mercy.
Now the fear of losing what God has given,
is something to be forsaken.
