There's not much that's good about a system
If the common man cannot afford a meal
thats as common as he.
If a man cannot leave his house
for fear of being killed.
There's not much to say for a country
When its Ivory Towers have become
like clock-work toys,
Turned on and off by the leaders at their will.
There's not much to be proud of in a land
Where the man on the streets still waits
for miracles from the Lord,
While the 'aristocrat' is earnestly beefing up his till.
