What is love to my soul
When deep inside I groan.
Like the famished flame that consumes its wick
My desire for love has landed me sick.
Love's collar around my neck
Chokes and leaves me within ace of death.
Those hands that I shower with kisses
Have struck my tender heart to pieces.
Like a flower waiting to be touched
I awaited love's hug so much
Yet my beautiful and soft petal
It crush leaving me as naked as water.
Who will tell me to keep loving
Certainly those who wish me to go mourning
Only I had heeded papa's weighty word
That love tho sweet kills faster than sword.
