Days without summer
Nights without wonders
Dry tongues complain
Clamouring for the long-awaited rain
How long can we wait
For the clouds to give way?

Hearts full of pains
Love full of pains
Fledglings fall in love
Professing what they know not
What then shall we say
If this love begets hate?

O let me fall to mama's bosom
To that tender hand that makes me blossom
Her tears have been my rain
My cares have her pain
And if all that matters should go away
I've found a love that will stay
