Heaven gave me a friend
In whom beauty starts and ends;
When I look deep I see thy eyes smile
And their charm infect me too with smile.
Thy smile reveals thy true thots
And when woven into words dumbness daren't disrupt
With thy soothing voice you bid duty to my ears
And with smile beseech my heart to part its fears.
Thy smile heals my hurt
Thy smile shows me love
That peeping prism of yours glitters when you smile
And thy soft lips gracely cover them but not thy smile.
Even in sleep thy smile I know can't fade
Nor death its charm can take
Rub the balm of thy smile on my face
And let my heart its potency embrace.
When next God grants me a visa to earth
To thy abode my love-sought heart will steer
The cast of thy smile shall be my light
And with thee, for me, shall be no night.
