The cadence of your breath
Like the rustle of corn silk,
The murmur of a sleepless brook
Against faces of rocks and moon,
Fill the vacuum of the chamber
With music and laughter.
The joy of having you in my arms
Watching you sleep and sleep
Is sweeter than the sweetest dream
The scent of your breath
Imbues the star less night with charms
And I lie helpless in its tender web
For in watching you sleep
I've found something sweeter than sleep
