Fortune and time
have no adversary
they break not to rest
neither by day or night,
they deal and wind unwittingly
enveloping all climes
and shroud the screams of dreams
in the cream of streams.

Fortune and time
bear no tune
apart from their rhymes
of emancipation,
thus they fancy none,
not the silver fountain of years
nor the golden bloom of youth.

Fortune and time
have no lord
they bow not to knee
neither by day or night,
they dance and fly always.
