The wind that blew on the 29th of May
this giant children misunderstand
Will it bring us back to our glorious days?
or destroy us in our own land?
We do not understand.
A thing cannot both be and not be
this giant makes philosophers mad
Transparency and corruption is what we see
Our leaders are good our leaders are bad
We do not understand.
At first it seemed our tears were history,
that we would all laugh and give praises,
but with killings, poverty and this mystery:
invincible dividends of democracy.
We do not understand
Will this wind be gentle, a breezy cure?
our hopes strengthen, our dreams fufil?
or will this wind plunge us into war?
our homes shatter, our children kill?
We do not understand
