Seyi Makes His Move!

"Why don't you want to go out with me?" he asked
"Look, I'm not ready for sex"
"I want to sleep with only my husband, no one else, by the way why should a relationship be based on sex"
"A relationship is not based on sex, but revolves around it"
"Same Shit, different day" I said
"Look, if it's sex that is bothering you. I'll wait till you're ready"
"Can you wait till forever?"
"No, but I know I might convince you"
"Bullshit, must you go out with a girl and have it with her?"
"No, but it makes you closer. Can't you see two join to be one?, both of you will bond.
You can't really understand since you're a virgin but don't worry you will, when the time comes" he said
"I don't think I ever want to understand. To me it's all nonsense, what happened to marrying a woman that was a virgin?"
"If you meet your wife a virgin, that's a bonus to you.
And by the way, what makes you think she'll be a virgin on the wedding night.
The husband might have slept with her before that day.
Anyway apart from that, is that the only reason you don't want to go out with me?".
I paused for quite long time. I started weighing it, to be truthful I like Seyi a lot but two things are stopping me I made a vow not to go out with anybody in year one and two not to loose my virginity till my wedding night.
Is he worth breaking the the first one for?.
"Well not really" I said. We talked for sometime and then we went to join the others.
We later left for our rooms in the early hours of the morning.
I was preparing for my lectures when Suzan asked if I was going anywhere later today.
I answered negatively, She said Tony was coming to take them out, so we should join in.
Bisola declined, Angel said yes immediately.
I got back from lectures and slept for some hours because the toll of sleeping at 5:00am and waking up at 8:00am was telling on me.
We started dressing around 10:pm, when the crew came, I told them I was going out and we'll see them in their rooms tomorrow.
That was how I didn't go to read today.
Tony came and asked us where are we heading to, Suzan asked where should we go and I answered Pyramid.
Pyramid was really interesting, I mean the Karaoke. I hate night clubs because of the crowds and I can't dance, so we all bursted the night club and spent time doing Karaoke
We all sang, Suzan sang "Save the best for the last" by Celine Dion song while I sang "How deep is your love" Angel sang too.
I think people are in a serious love mood tonight because the songs brought back memories.
The ashies (Prostitutes) voices were lovely.
Most of them are gifted, they should pursue it.
There was this particular ashy that sang and people were moved and impressed. She sang "Eternal Flame" by Gloria Estefan.
We all left there happy and contented. I dozed off and woke up to realise we'd stopped.
It suddenly dawned on me that this was a house not Lag, I was afraid and scared.
I woke Angel who was still sleeping. She looked around and asked where we were, I told her it must be Tony's house.
I now started thinking, "What if they brought us here to be raped, or used as money".
Suzan must have noticed my fear because she moved close to me and said Tony was tired and just needed to rest, he couldn't drive to Campus, then back home.
This was one of the silliest things, someone could ever say. "Why didn't he think of that before coming to meet us?" I asked.
"He didn't know he'll tired like this" Suzan said.
I wasn't comfortable but there was nothing I could do. This was Pako (Surulere), it wasn't an area I was familiar with.
Angel and I were given Austin's room to share. Can you imagine, Austin said he could not vacate his room for us, so we all had to share it. Angel didn't say anything but, he said there was no reason for him to sleep on a bench because of us.
The long and short of it, he slept in the room with us.
I couldn't sleep, Angel fell asleep almost immediately.
Suzan slept with Tony.
This is a girl that has a fiancee that loves her, but because he could not provide for her financially, she's keeping Tony.
Funny enough, it wasn't that bad for Joseph (fiancee).
I guess she doesn't cut her coat according to her size.
The next morning as early as 8:00am, we were taken back to the hostel.
Bisola was worried all night and had not been able to sleep, She was really upset with me. It's nice to have a friend like Bisola. Anyway I resolved it and I dressed up to go home.
I got home around 11:00am, I headed straight for bed then later went to see Belinda in the evening.
Kingsley was there again, this time around he was warm and he asked what hall I was in.
Belinda told me Kingsley was toasting her. She had kissed him sometime ago. I asked how it was.
"It was not heart shaking as people say. It was just there"
"Na wah oh! Make I see someone that will make me forget everything when we kiss"
I left for campus on Sunday, after collecting my allowy, on my way to Belinda's house, I saw Kingsley and he promised to see me on Thursday.
Immediately I got to campus around 6:00pm, I went straight to Seyi and Tayo's room.
I was stressed and teased, they took me to Tunde's room where I met Jonny and Charles.
They didn't allow me to leave their room till eleven at night. Then I walked back to my room.
I got to the room to see Angel on my bed.
"Honey, I've been waiting for you, katakata (trouble) don burst"
"Whatz up?, was is from home? Hope nothing"
"Ralph is going out with another girl, NneNne and he said he can't leave me for her.
They've been going out for two years".
"That is not a problem now. Break up with him"
"Okay, I've heard".
I thought this was the last I'll hear of it. How naive I was.
This week is full of tests, so I have to jack extra hard.
My toaster Mike came on Monday but when I didn't Ja (send) him face, he left.
I pray he won't came back again. I took a walk with Seyi today, Seyi and I are becoming even closer.
I noticed Emeka and Niran had stopped coming around.
