Chapter 6 - Meet Seyi

I've spent 6 weeks on campus now and it's all been rosy. I've also met lots of people and I'm very close to Niran. We usually go on long walks especially down commercial road also known as Love garden.
Funny enough, we've never kissed or anything like that we were just close and I like him as a friend.
There was a particular day he asked me to take a walk with him. We headed for education garden and we just talked and talked. I thought he was going to ask me out because this place is notorious for where lovers make out. But, he didn't toast me that way at all. I guess I was dissapointed. We chatted from 11 pm to 2 am.
The next day again, Niran sent someone to call me because he came past visiting hours. This was around 11:30 pm and I'd already changed into my nightie but, I dressed up and went outside to see him.
"Niran Whatz up now?"
"Honey, I came with my friends and I decided to check up on you, But I'll like a favour from you. I want you to call some people for my friends" he said
"Hi, I'm Seyi, I want you to call my sister Eni"
"Are you sure, she's your sister?" I asked
"Yep" he answered Laughing
"All you guys that lie, instead of you to tell me you want to see your girlfriend no oh! it's your sister" I continued.
The other guy (Tope) told me that he was looking for his girlfriend. I went to call the girl for Tope, but by the time I got to her room, I forgot his name.
"Pls remember because I don't want to go and meet just anybody, what if it's someone I don't want to meet" a voice said
"You're Eru? I'm sorry but, I just can't remember anyway the person said you're his sister."
"Seyi!" The whole room screamed. I went back downstairs smiling.
I delivered the messages and Niran and I took off for a walk. I didn't get back to the room till three in the morning.
Around 10:30 pm, the next day, a girl came looking for me in the room. She said a Seyi was waiting for me outside. Bisola asked me who Seyi was and I told her how I met him.
"Then what has he got to do with you" Bisola asked
"I don't know, I have to find out"
I got outside and didn't see him. Anyway I'm bad with recollecting faces, after looking round for some minutes and didn't see anyone who called me. I turned to go, only to hear my name being called.
This was the first time I saw Seyi's face clearly.
"Why were you going back in, didn't you see me?"
"Sorry, I couldn't remember your face"
"My face, I was told that my face can always be remembered"
"It's just me, I'm not very good at remembering faces"
Okay, I want to have a chat with you, so I'll like us to take a walk together.
From my hall we headed for guest house, he talked about himself. He is 24 years old, stays at Ikeja and he said some other things concerning himself and asked me to tell him a little about myself.
We got to Admin, where we could see the swimming pool down below.
Suddenly, he tried to kiss me but I didn't allow him to. Thankfully, he was quite harmless unlike some other people that will try to force themselves on you. He later walked me back to my room, I left him in front of my hall talking with Chima, who came looking for him.
It was later in my room that I realised that I liked him.
I don't understand it but I like him. The way he talks, laughs and his composure. He is in Chemical Engineering, also a 400L student. I just liked everything about him.
First time in my life, I think I'm in Love.
I got back to the room around past two, Bisola had freaked out and when I told her where I'd been, she reprimanded me.
"Honey, What if he had he raped you?"
"I doubt it"
"Doubt What?, Look you have to be wise and watch out. What if you were set up by that Tunde guy. By the way Tunde came not long after you left. He sent someone to call you and I went to see who it was because the girl didn't mention his name. When I saw it was him, I was pissed at myself for coming out"
"Anyway, he said I should tell you to wait round for him today, that he's coming to see you".
"See who? Me?. He is a born joker, I'll make sure he doesn't see me"
"Honey, I'm going to bed, you'll gist me what happened later today," goodnight"
"Goodnight" I answered back
I didn't sleep till five, I woke up late the next day and went for my lectures.
I got back around 6pm. Not up to 30 minutes after I got to the room, Tunde came. He sat on my bed and asked me how my day was. He did most of the yarning while I did most of the listening. He said I was going to go out with him. He likes me and he doesn't see what I'm hesitant about.
I almost asked him which part of No he didn't understand, is it the N or the O, but of course I didn't because I could see he meant business. He was on a "Get Honey Mission".
After yarning a long time, to which I didn't really answer and was only saying No. He got upset and left. I was very relieved to see him go, I just pray he never comes back.
After a long time, Dayo came around today. He took me out and bought me suya, after that he left for his room. I also had another visitor, but, the person refused to enter the hall even though it wasn't ten yet, I was told Seyi was outside waiting for me.
Getting outside, I found him surrounded by girls and two other guys. He introduced me to Eru, his sister and Eru's room mates three of them. Then to the two other guys.
I was there till midnight, they cracked enough jokes some even made me cry. We all had a wonderful time talking, yarning and laughing. After they left we took another walk and he asked again to which my answer was still a NO.
On the way back to my hall around 2:00am, someone called his name. We turned to see Chima and two other guys coming, when they got to where we were, Chima introduced them Tunde and Sunday.
Sunday is a waffi guy, he was speaking in waffi slangs while Tunde sort of quite and just smiled. I guess he's shy.
After the introduction I left them for my room. I had this same routine for some time, but I never gave in to Seyi's toasting. His friends Tunde and Sunday come to see me in my room but, he doesn't he sends for me instead.
A new week began today, I just got back from home. After quite a long time I had gone home for the weekend. It wasn't that bad, In fact, it was sweet. I spent it with my friend Belinda. That girl is a nut case.
We both finished from the same secondary school but, Jamb didn't do her well. While I got admission into the University she is at home. Immediately, I got home on saturday morning, after acknowledging them at home. I went for roll call at her house. Her house is not too far from mine it's like three houses away.
She was in the shop attending to customers. Her momsie owns a restaurant.
"Belinda baby, come and give your honey a hug"
"Oyin, you're back" She said laughing"
"Hold on let me serve this customer" She said.
She served a young man who was talking with her at the same time. The guy should be in his late twenties, fine in an okay manner but not really gengen (tapping).
After serving the guy, she called me over and introduced me to the guy. His name was Kingsley.
"Nice to meet you" I said. But, his attention wasn't on me, it was on Belinda. I was slightly jealous because I've been used to people sighting me before her. We sat down on the same table with the guy and we started gisting.
I gisted her about what happened on campus, my life, my stalker, my toasters everything. She was amused and laughed at some of my antics. Kingsley didn't join in, he was just taking his Harp.
