"There are three things you must do in order to meet with God. These three things are very important. The first thing--obey the vow of physical and mental celibacy. You must not be even near or attracted to or on another in any manner.
compromising to this vow. You must be of a straight mind and a straight heart and never think negative thoughts. You must never understand or experience the reality of a thing called lust. The second thing--you must pray at the start of every hour, and at the end of every hour. Each prayer should last at least 20 minutes, leaving only 20 minutes of each hour of your day free for anything else including sleep.
If you shirk even once--EVEN ONCE--you have forfeited your chance of being granted an audience with God. Finally, and most importantly, you must realize that you are here on earth for a specific purpose. It is your duty to find out what that is and carry it out to the best of your ability. We were not sent down here just to live, but to carry out specific duties and tasks. Finding out what we are here for is the most important of the three things, but once you have done it you will be granted an audience with God. You have seven years. Any questions?"
"Yes sir...Where shall we live?"
"You must live in solitude for that is the only way you can achieve these things. Go now in peace and good luck on your quest."
The twelve young trainees lined up and marched on to their respective quarters. The youngest of the lot was six years old and the oldest was twelve. They were being groomed to meet with God, but the chances were that of the twelve, only one would finally make it. This was the final group of twelve that the world was going to produce in order to make peace with God and consequently save the world. God had given the world one more chance to redeem itself so this was no mission to be taken lightly. The youngest of the lot, Lisa, was perhaps the most charming and thus attracted the most attention. This being so, it would be harder for her to finally make it.
In the third year of the solitude, there was the first casualty. One of the twelve had overslept by a minute, and as she tried to wake up, her eyes red from lack of sleep in the past three years, she fell down her bed and broke her neck. She was buried without honor in the graveyard of the failed ones. There was a great awe for it was now common knowledge that there would be more casualties.
Lisa was now nine years old and praying for twenty minutes at the beginning and end of every hour of every day of every month had taken it's toll on her. Her reading was defective, and her learning capabilities had become stunted. But as though to compensate for this, she had developed a lot of special intangible abilities. She soon became a favorite of the nuns who ran the convent.
In the fourth year of solitude there were three casualties. Three of the chosen ones happened to be taking a shower at the same time. One of the three looked at one of the other two with lust. The third perceived that the other one had lust in the eye, but just the perception of lust itself was grounds for disqualification for they were not supposed to understand what negativity and lust were.
