Susan a young girl is troubled by the spirits she is connected to. She was warned by promised her spirit-mother not to get involved any man until she got married, but as a young 17 year old, hanging out with her friends, this warning was difficult to heed.
She goes to a party with her friends and meets a young man, Mike (Ramsey Noah), who woos her with a dried-up, short-stemmed flower of some sort. Unfortunately, Mike is only interested in getting her into bed and succeeds through clandestine means.
Susan gets pregnant and informs Mike, but he has hastily dismisses her from his home. She is shipped abroad by her father (Pete Edochie) who unsuccessfully tried to inform Mike's father about the result of Mike's activity with his daughter. He cannot bear the shame and threat to his reputation.
When Susan returns home after about five years, it is time for Mike to learn that you don't play a girl with connections in the spirit world. Mike (now a medical doctor) is afflicted with a biological anomaly inexplicable by his doctors.
His only hope is to marry Susan. In the end, after endless pleading from Mike's father and his friends, Susan puts her hurt aside and pays Mike a visit on his death bed. Miraculously, Mike recovers and all are happy except Susan's father.
