Starring Hilda Dokubo as Uremma.
Ukpabi starts off with his wife Nnedi in a small one room apartment. He makes a living as a bus driver and slowly, his fortune begins to grow.
All seems well in paradise until Nnedi has her third miscarriage and the doctor reveals the medical reasons for the miscarriages. Nnedi is branded a witch and eventually driven out of her husband's house after a heavy racking session. Nnedi, now pregnant again, with hopes of reconciling with Ukpabi, takes refuge in the home of her brother Omega.
Ukpabi shacks up with longtime girlfriend, Uremma, and without delay they start producing the heirs to Ukpabi's fortune.
After five years, tradition takes over reason and Nnedi has to give up her child. She relunctatly moves on with her life and her child, KB, grows up struggling to adjust to life in a new home, under vicious scrutiny.
This story effectively portrays the conflict between traditional and modern Nigerian life. Although the moral message (gender-equality) is made clear at the introduction of the movie, the story is not annoyingly didactic. Well-scripted with natural performances from all actors, the entire production is very impressive given an evidently low budget.
